If you’ve been in business a while, you might have an old fax machine gathering dust in a corner of your office. And you probably have to figure out how to use it every time you need to fax a document. Remember checking the fax machine every minute or so, to make sure your fax was going through?
Who faxes these days? Well if you do business with a bank, or a realty or legal office, you’ll still find yourself needing to send documents the old-fashioned way. But let’s face it, no one wants to maintain a fax machine anymore, and there’s no need to.
Phone.com’s FREE Internet Fax service gives you the ability to send and receive faxes without the bulk and maintenance of a fax machine.
Send a Fax
Upload documents, images and web content from your computer and send them to any fax number. All you need to do is log into your Phone.com account and click Configure > Manage Users and Extensions > Edit > Send a fax.
You can add a cover page, the recipient’s name, the subject of your message, your name, and a message. You can also request confirmation that the fax was sent—no checking the fax machine! Supported file types include: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .pdf, .txt, .doc, .xls and .html.
Receive a Fax
Incoming faxes are converted into PDF files and sent to your Phone.com Inbox for easy access. You can also have faxes forwarded to your email account for you to view, forward and save on your computer.
Note: To receive faxes, you’ll need a separate Phone.com number, set up as a dedicated fax line.
Download Fax by Phone.com and start sending faxes directly from your iOS device. Scan and attach documents to a fax using your camera and never touch a fax machine again! For Android users, our Phone.com Mobile Office app includes fax.
