NEWARK, N.J., May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Phone.com CEO and Co-founder Ari Rabban has been declared a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) 2013 Award in the New Jersey region. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year Program has been in place for 27 years and has expanded globally to recognize company builders in more than 140 cities in more than 50 countries throughout the world.
“It’s an honor to be named a finalist for this award,” said Rabban. “As an entrepreneur, my vision has been to provide office-communications capabilities that help small businesses work more productively and save money. As a mentor and member of the New Jersey Technology Council, my goal has been to encourage other startups to realize their visions.”
A panel of independent judges selected the finalists. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event June 13 at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick. Regional award winners go on to compete at the national level.
Award winners in several national categories, as well as the winner of Ernst & Young’s National Entrepreneur Of The Year Overall Award, will be announced at the annual awards event in Palm Springs, Calif., on November 16, 2013.
