The Phone.com Mobile VoIP application for iPhone is a VoIP phone (a soft phone) that enables you to dial from your iPhone as if it’s an extension of your Phone.com account. No cell phone minutes are used because the app uses your Wi-Fi or 3G network to make the call.
The Phone.com Mobile VoIP phone service works in conjunction with your Virtual Office account. You will need to define an iPhone extension on your Phone.com account, but the Phone.com Mobile VoIP app is downloadable for FREE from the iPhone app store. For more download information read here:

The quick steps are:
- Log in to your Phone.com account
- Add extension
- Choose device (iPhone)
- Checkout
- Look at your extension for a username and password
- Enter that information in the settings for your iPhone app
Below is a more detailed explanation:
Getting Started
Login to your Virtual Office account and go to:
Extensions -> Add An Extension -> iPhone Extension -> Add Selected
After completing your checkout, continue on to:
Extensions -> Settings
You can now see the extension credentials that need to be inserted into the iPhone Phone.com – Mobile VoIP application.

Running the application for the first time will prompt you to define the initial settings. Pressing OK will display the settings page.
Please enter your settings according to your Virtual Office iPhone extensions.
Pressing Save will store your settings and automatically login to your account.
The application will display the Home screen and the status of the connection.

Home Screen.
Press the Home icon at the bottom tab bar to view it.
Your display name and phone number will be shown at the top left corner.
In case your phone number and display name are the same, only one of them will be displayed.
Your connection status will be displayed by an icon and text in the top right corner. If you’re not connected, a red icon will be displayed and accompanied by the text “Not connected.” If you are connected, a green icon with the text “Connected” will be displayed.
Pressing the icon will display the application version and Copyright information.
TIP! If you’re not connected, press the not connected button and the reason for the failed login will be displayed.
Contacts Screen.
Press the Contacts icon at the bottom tab bar to display it.
All your iPhone contacts will be displayed here just as they are when you use the Contacts application of your iPhone.
Select your contact and destination number to make a call.
Dialer Screen
Press the Dialer icon at the bottom tab bar to view it.
- To make a call simply dial the desired number and press the Call button.
- To dial a sip URL press the Keyboard button and enter your sip destination.
- To add a number to your Contacts type the number, press the add to Contact button ,
- To delete the last character of your dial number press the Backspace button. WARNING: Holding the backspace for more than a second will remove the whole dial number.
- For entering the + (plus) character press and hold the 0 button.
Call Screen
Will be displayed when creating a call or when a call is established.
Dialed number will be shown at the top left and immediately bellow it will be the call status message. Here you will see the progress of the call until it’s established or not.
Once connected a timer will show the duration of the call.
At the center of the screen are the call option buttons.
- Mute – mute the call. Other side will not hear your voice.
- Keypad – displays the keypad for sending digits to the other side of the call.
- Speaker – enable/disable the speaker.
- Hold – enable/disable hold.
- Contacts – displays your iPhone contacts list for retrieving information only.
- To cancel a call press the End Call button.
Incoming Call
When receiving a call, a screen similar to the Call screen will be displayed.
The incoming call number will be displayed at the top.
- To answer the call press the Answer button.
- To reject the call press the Reject button.
Recents Screen
Press the Recents icon at the bottom tab bar to access it.
A list of your calls history will be displayed.
You can filter the list by pressing one of the buttons from the top bar.
Select a number to view more call details.
To make a call to a number in the list, select it and press the Call button.
More Screen
Press the More icon at the bottom tab bar to view it.
A list of options will be presented.
- For changing your account settings press the Settings option.
- To display information about the application press the About option.
- For Legal information select the Legal option.
- Select the Help option to display this Help page.
