Business Phone Services: Compare Phones

Different end points (phones devices) offer different hardware capabilities. Some phones have HD (High Definition) voice which provides better sound quality, some have wall mounts if that is important, some support POE (Power Over Ethernet) which reduces the wire clutter on your desk if your network can provides the power via the Ethernet cable. Other phones have an Ethernet Pass Through connector (a build in network switch) that enables you to connect your computer to the phone, and the phone to the wall so the phone and PC can use a single Ethernet Port . Price, display size and a different number of keys are also important factors when determining the right phone for you. See the table below to help you decide what your preference is.

Business Phone Service with Linksys ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) – is a low cost home solution. The ATA device can hook up to regular analog or cordless phones. Phone.com service features are available using the keypad phone keys. Caller ID display, speaker phone quality and availability are determined by the phone actually connected to the device. Read more here. Unless you need a cordless phone, or really like your analog phone, it is not recommended to use an ATA in an office environment. Analog phones tend to be less convenient for rapid office dialing. An ATA is perfectly suited for home use.
