AT&T defeats U.S. in Merger Fight to Buy Time Warner

In a major blow to the Trump White House, a judge ruled in favor of the merger of AT&T and Time Warner. The merger, which took place in 2016, was being sued for violating antitrust laws.

In other phone news, the less expensive Pixel, which has been leaked a whole bunch, has been part of several FCC filings as of late. The scuttlebutt around town is for a launch in the Spring.

The battery company that just keeps going is taking a dive into the phone pool with their P18k Pop phone, which is three times as thick as an iPhone. The battery life is supposedly a week long. But good luck shoving that into your skinny jeans.

 

FCC allocates $67 million to boost rural broadband adoption
