Does Phone.com support International Caller ID?
Phone.com transmits Caller ID on all outbound and forwarded calls, based on your call handling rules and account settings. Because Caller ID works differently in certain countries, and because many international telephone companies do not guarantee Caller ID delivery, Phone.com provides this feature on a "best effort" basis and can not guarantee that Caller ID will always display on calls to international destinations.
How do I dial an international number from the US?
For calls to most countries dial the following: 011 + country code + phone number.
How do I enter the destination number for the Forward Call feature if I am using an International number?
International numbers must be entered as “+” then “country code” and then the number.To locate a country code, please visit our International Rate Search tool.

Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico and the USA. Select here to learn more.
What do you charge to make International calls?
Find International charges by visiting our Country Selector. Note that calls to Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom are included in your basic package at no extra charge (so there is no difference forwarding a call to a US number or a number in France).
How can I use Phone.com for my International calls?
Just like a calling card, you can use your Phone.com account to place calls to any number in the US and overseas. To place a call, call your number and enter your extension password. For more FAQ’s on Outgoing Calls, click here or visit your Phone.com User Guide.
Can I route calls to an International number?
Phone.com works with phones in any country. You can set extensions or forward callers to any International number. Please note that fees will apply when forwarding to an international number, even during the trial period.
Are there additional taxes on International rates?
Basic plans are subject to USF (usually 8%, same as every other phone company mandated by FCC); additional minutes are subject to USF as well as International rates.
I am forwarding my Phone.com number to a cell phone in a country the US and it is not working. Why?
Call establishment phase to cell phones located in various International countries may take longer than the ring time setting in the forwarding extension of your account. Check that the setting is set to the maximal length.
What are the rates to Canada, How do they differ?
We often get questions about Canadian area call phone numbers, or toll free numbers for Canada, or about using a US toll free number to reach a phone in Canada. Below are some clarifications:
Canadian phone numbers start with +1, just like U.S. numbers do. There are a couple dozen area codes that are Canadian.
Phone.com cannot port (transfer ownership) Canadian phone numbers into our system at this time. We hope to be able to do so in the future.
When a Phone.com customer dial out from their Phone.com phone (using the phone adaptor or a business IP Phone) to a Canadian number, or when they forward calls to a Canadian number using a virtual extension, those calls use “included minutes”
When a caller in Canada calls a Phone.com customer’s toll-free number, there is a surcharge to the Phone.com customer of $0.05/min. The caller in Canada does not pay anything for the call. Customers can block Canadian callers from their control panel if they don’t want to pay those surcharges.
Canada is the only country (other than the US) that can call US Toll-free-numbers. There are no Canadian toll-free numbers available to purchase.
When a caller in Canada calls a Phone.com customer’s local (non-toll-free) number, everything works “normally”; there is no surcharge of any kind.
