2.1. Placing a Call
Using the Handset:
Pick up the handset and dial a number then press the [Dial] soft key. Or, dial a number first, and then pick up the handset.
Using the hands-free Speakerphone:
- With the handset on-hook, press the [NewCall] soft key.
- Dial the number. Or dial the number, and then press the [Dial] soft key.
2.2. Answering a Call
Using the Handset: Pick up the handset.
Using the Speakerphone:
Press the speaker button
or the [Answer] soft key.
Incoming calls may be ignored by pressing the [Reject] soft key or (Do Not Disturb) button during ringing.
2.3. Ending a Call
Using the Handset: Hang up or press [EndCall]
Using the Speakerphone:
Press the speaker button
or the [EndCall] button
2.4. Microphone Mute
During a call, press the microphone mute
button. Mute applies to all modes: headset and hands-free. You can hear all other parties while Mute is enabled.
To turn off Mute, press the microphone mute button again.
2.5. Call Hold & Resume
- During a call, press the
(Hold) button or the [Hold] soft key. - Press the
(Hold) again or the [Resume] soft key to retrieve the call.
2.6. To create a three-way conference (3 way) call:
- Call the first party.
- Press button
or the [Confrnc] soft key to create a new call (the active call is placed on hold). - Place a call to the second party.
- When the second party answers, press or the
or [Confrnc] soft key again to join all parties in the conference.
When a conference has been established, pressing the [Split] soft key will split the conference into two calls on hold.
Placing the call on hold on the conference originator’s phone will place the entire conference on hold.
A conference may be created at any time between an active call and a call on hold (on the same or another line) by pressing the [Join] soft key.
Ending the call on the conference originator’s phone will allow the other parties to continue the conference.
2.7. Call Transfer
- During a call, press or the (Transfer) button or the [Trnsfer] soft key, the active call will be placed on hold.
- If you wish to transfer the call without speaking to the second party, press the [Blind] soft key, otherwise continue to the next step.
- Place a call to the party to which you want to transfer the call.
- After speaking with the second party press the (Transfer) button or the [Trnsfer] soft key to complete the transfer.
Transfer may be cancelled during establishment by pressing the [Cancel] soft key. The original call is then resumed.
2.8. Call Forwarding
To enable call forwarding:
- Press the [Forward] soft key phone’s idle display.
- Enter a number to forward all future calls to.
- Press the [Enable] soft key to confirm Call Forwarding. A moving arrow icon appears for that line to confirm Call Forwarding is enabled.
To disable call forwarding:
- Press the [Forward] soft key from hone’s idle display or
- Press the [Disable] soft key.
2.9. Redial
Press the (Redial) button to dial the most recently dialed number.
2.10. Do Not Disturb
Press (Do Not Disturb) button to prevent the phone from ringing on incoming calls. A Do Not Disturb icon appears for all lines to confirm that Do Not Disturb is enabled.
Press (Do Not Disturb) again to turn off Do Not Disturb.
2.11. Call Lists
Press (Directories) followed by Call Lists, or just press (Call Lists) and Missed, Received, or Placed Calls as desired. Information on respective calls will be displayed.
From this screen, choose the appropriate soft key:
- [Edit] to amend the dial string before dialing.
- [Dial] to return the call. Or press [More], then:
- [Info] to view detailed call information.
- [Save] to store the contact in the Contact Directory – Saving is volatile unless performed from the Phone.com control panel, as the phone re-loads the list from the server each time it re-boots.
- [Clear] to delete the contact from the list.
Press [More] and [Exit] soft keys to return to the idle display.
2.12. Voice mail
The Message Waiting Indicator LED on the front of the phone will flash.
To listen to voice messages:
- Press (Messages).
- Follow voice prompts to listen to messages.
NOTE: The specific Voicemail extension has to be selected in the Control Panel to enable the phone to open a different Voicemail box than the default one associated with the Phone extension number.
2.13. Volume Adjustment
Press the volume keys to adjust handset, headset, and hands-free speaker volume during a call. Pressing those keys in idle mode adjusts the ringer volume.
To conform to regulatory requirements, handset and headset volume will return to a preset level after each call, but the configuration can be changed. Hands-free volume settings will be maintained across calls.
2.14. Ring Type
You can select different rings to match your preferences.
To change the incoming ring:
- Press (Menu).
- Select Settings… followed by Basic, and Ring Type
- Using the Up or Down arrows, highlight the desired ring type. Press the [Play] soft key to hear the selected ring type.
- Press the [Select] soft key to change to the selected ring type.
- Press the (Menu) button to return to the idle display.
If you select Silent ring, press the [Answer] soft key to answer incoming calls.
2.15. Quick Action Arrow Buttons
On top right corner of the phone there are 4 arrow buttons, normally they are used for navigation in the phone menus but from the Phone idle state they serve as quick action buttons.
(UP) – Will show the Quick Dial List – Note that the quick dial list may be volatile and may disappear when the phone re-boots.
(Down) – Missed calls list
(Left) – Receive calls list
(Right) – Placed calls list
2.16. Directories
The (Directories) button provides access to the list of contacts loaded to your extension in the Phone.com control panel. Once inside press “Contact Directory” and you will be able to browse through your extensions and address book entries using the arrows or press [More] to access the [Search] button.
Pressing the [Edit] soft button will enable you to add a quick dial number to a name. Note that the quick dial numbers are volatile and may disappear after the phone re-boots.
