Phone Layout
- Handset

Placing a Call
- Pick up the handset (or press the [speaker] key) and dial the number.
- You may press the [dial] softkey to immediately connect the call, or wait until it dials automatically.
- You may also dial a number first and then pick up the handset or press the [speaker] key.
Answering A Call
- When you hear the ringer, the line key and MWI will flash.
- You may either pick up the handset, press the [answer] softkey, or press the [speaker] key.
Rejecting A Call
- Press the [ignore] softkey as the phone rings. The caller will proceed to the next call handling rule as defined in your Phone.com control panel (typically this is voicemail).
Ending A Call
- Hang up the handset, or if you’re using the speakerphone, press the [speaker] key.
Redial
- From the idle screen, press the [redial] softkey, then press the [up] and [down] keys to scroll through the list of outgoing calls.
- Press the [dial] softkey to dial the selected entry.
Call History
- Press the [menu] key, then select the “Call History” option.
- Select “Redial List,” “Answered Calls” or “Missed Calls.”
- Press [up] and [down] to scroll through the list of calls, and press the [right] key for more options.
Microphone Mute
- During a call, press the [mute] key; the status light will turn on. Press it again to disable.
- Mute applies to all modes: handset, headset and speaker.
- You can still hear all other parties while Mute is enabled.
Call Hold and Resume
- During a call, press the [hold] key.
- Press the blinking line key to resume the call.
Create A Three-Way Conference Call
- Call the first party.
- Press the [conf] softkey to place the first party on hold, then call the second party. Press [conf] again when you’re ready to join all calls together.
- To split the conference into two calls on hold, press the [hold] key. Placing the call on hold on the conference originator’s phone will place the entire conference on hold.
- You can resume each call separately by pressing the blinking Line key. You will see the Caller ID of each line displayed next to it. The other line on hold will blink in the top status bar; press the blinking line key to place the current line on hold and resume the other.
- To resume the conference with all lines, press the [confLx] softkey.
- A conference may be created at any time between an active call and a call on hold.
- To terminate the conference, hang up. You can also press the [join] softkey; the other two parties will remain connected with each other, while you are disconnected.
Call Transfer
- During a call, press the [xfer] softkey; the active call will be placed on hold.
- If you change your mind and want to resume the call, press the blinking line key.
- Dial the number or extension to which you want to transfer the call.
- You may either press the [xfer] key again to transfer the call immediately, or you may speak with the new party before doing so.
Call Forwarding
- Press the [cfwd] softkey, then dial the extension or number you wish to forward to.
- The screen will now display “Calls Forwarded.”
- Press the [-cfwd] softkey to disable the “Call Forward” feature.
Do Not Disturb
- Press the [dnd] softkey to prevent the phone from ringing on incoming calls.
- The screen will now display “Do Not Disturb.”
- Press the [-dnd] softkey to disable the “Do Not Disturb” feature.
Ring Type
- You can select different rings to match your preferences and distinguish between calls on lines.
- Press the Menu key, then select the “Ring Tone” option.
- Using the [up] and [down] keys, select the “Ext” (line) that you wish to set the ringer for.
- Press the [menu] key to return to the main idle display.
To change the incoming ring:
Directory
- The Directory feature (the [dir] softkey) provides access to a list of contacts that you load into your phone.
- You may add contacts manually.
- Entries may also be entered via the phone’s web interface.
- Entries in your Call History lists may also be added to your Directory with the [save] softkey.
MWI and Voicemail
- If you have a new message waiting in your inbox, the Message Waiting Indicator will light red and a small envelope icon will appear next to the extension number. You will also hear a “stutter” tone when you pick up the handset. To listen to voice messages:
- Press the [voicemail] key, or dial *8686 (*VMVM).
- Follow the voice prompts to listen to messages.
Line Buttons and Status Lights
- The line buttons can be green, red, orange or off.
- Green The line is registered with the server and ready for calls.
- Off The line is not associated with an extension and cannot be used.
- Solid Red The line is in use.
- Blinking Red A call was put on hold on this line.
- Solid Orange You cannot make a call (phone is not registered to the server).
Contact your Administrator.
NOTE: If the Mute light flashes, there is a connection problem. If the network cable is securely in place and the light still flashes, contact your Administrator.
Volume Adjustment
Press [+] or [-] to adjust the volume for the handset (when on a call) or the ringer (when the phone is on-hook). Make sure to press the [save] softkey when finished.
Additional User Features
Call Recording
- Any time during an incoming call, dial ( * ) ( 7 ).
- You will hear: “Recording is now on.” The caller will hear the same message.
- To end Call Recording, dial ( * ) ( 7 ) again. You will hear: “Recording is now off.”
- Visit the Call Logs section of your account after the call has ended to review the recording.
Call Blocking
- To block a caller from calling again (while on a conversation with them), dial ( * ) ( 9 ).
- You will hear a confirmation message.
- If you pressed ( * ) ( 9 ) by mistake, press it again to unblock the caller.
- Upon disconnecting the call, that caller will not be able to call again.
- Anonymous calls cannot be blocked. To block callers with hidden caller ID, refer to the Numbers section in your account’s Control Panel.
