Features
Feature is available with the following Phone.com plans:

Extensions

Virtual Extensions allow you to route your Phone.com Virtual Office number to multiple destinations including cell phones, home phones and work phones. This is particularly convenient when you need to be out of the office for extended periods of time and don’t want to miss any important calls.

Virtual Extension Options

In addition to call routing, you can also set Virtual Extensions for your Virtual Office number to do the following:

  • Leave a Voicemail
  • Go To a Menu
  • Play a Recording
  • Go To a Queue
  • Go To Dial by Name Directory
  • Disconnect

Virtual Extensions are helpful when using a Menu, because they allow your callers to be directed to different employees located at their own personal extensions.

Virtual Extension Settings

Every Virtual Extension you create with your Phone.com Virtual Office number can hold its own personal settings that include:

  • Nickname
  • Dial by Directory Name
  • Extension Number
  • Time Zone
  • Outgoing Caller ID
  • Call Handling Rules
  • Greetings
  • Address Book
  • Voicemail Notification

Extensions are unlimited and can be created at any time.

Types of Extensions

  • Virtual (i.e. not connected to any device)
  • ATA (i.e. connected to an Analog Telephone Adapter)
  • IP phone (i.e. connected to an IP phone)
  • iPhone App extension
  • Softphone

Caller ID Routing is also available with each virtual extension, which gives you the opportunity to send your business-related clients to your work phone and the family to your cell phone while only providing one number to both groups!

Each Virtual Extension has the option for Voicemail as well as individualized delivery of messages to phone, email or a text message notification.

With Phone.com, you can manage an unlimited number of virtual extensions depending on the number of digits you set for extension numbering.
