Area Code & Local Number Selection

With Phone.com, you can select a phone number in your local calling area or anywhere else in the US. We maintain an inventory of local numbers and allow you to search by Area Code or browse by State. We’ll break it down for you and show you how many numbers are available in your preferred city. If you find a number you like, select it and it will be activated immediately.

Backorders

If you are unable to find your city from the list, use our Advanced Search to back order a number from your preferred city.

Please note: While we do our best to order numbers in your desired city, we cannot guarantee exact availability of certain area codes. In larger cities, area codes may vary from one community to another.

Back ordered numbers are usually available for use within 7-10 days, however it may take up to 30 days to obtain numbers from certain rural areas. While you are waiting, Phone.com will provide a temporary-use toll free number. This number will be replaced by your requested number as soon as it becomes available.

If you sign up with Phone.com Virtual Office phone service you can also select Toll Free numbers and Vanity Toll Free numbers.

Phone.com also allows you to transfer your existing number to your account.

Each plan includes at least one phone number. Additional numbers can be added to Virtual Office for an additional charge.
