The history of the car phone, and hands free driving…

Saturday, December 19th, 2009 at 9:13 PM EST

We have a heavy snow fall in the Tri-state area and I have time to do some surfing. Just came across this great multimedia clip in the New York Times showing a time line history of cell phones. Check it out and especially the embeded old TV commercials for some of the first generation of cell phones and of course… a marketing “war” that involves AT&T, only back then it was against MCI (oh, i guess they are Verizon now…).

The timeline also looks at some of the warnings about talking and driving. Worth reviewing. Dont talk and drive!
