Making outbound calls from your mobile phone, or any phone, using your Virtual Office number(s)

Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at 10:49 PM EST

Last week we wrote about placing outbound calls from your Phone.com Virtual Office online control panel.

The ability to easily show your Virtual Office phone number as your outbound caler ID makes this quite compelling.

Customers who have several numbers can also choose and decide which of their numbers should show up as their caller ID.

This can also be achieved not only by using the click to call function on your control panel (as described in our previous post) but also from any physical phone. So say you are at a friends house and you get a voicemail from a client that requires you to call that client back. You can call from your cell phone or from your friends home phone line and your client will see your Virtual Office number appear as the calling number and will know it is you! (yes, you can also fool him/her to think you are in your office).

Doing so is simple: just call your own virtual office number and enter your extension password – the system will guide you to press 4 to place an outbound call. You then enter the number you want to call. Thats it.

There is also a pocket guide you can use to help remember how to make these calls. visit your extension tab in the Virtual Office control panel.
